Make Good Choices

One Opportunity

Opportunity /ˌäpərˈt(y)o͞onədē/

noun

a set of circumstances that makes it possible to do something.

One shot. No do-overs. No overtime.

Lots of things vie for our attention here on Earth. Not just that, really. They want our money, passion, and life, too. Our dedication. Our sacrifice. Our time. The problem is that these things are mostly fleeting and vain. They're fun for a time, but eventually wear out. But a life well-lived? That doesn't wear out. We're all going to appear before the judgement seat of Christ. We'll all (Christians included) have to give an account for everything we did. None of us will ever regret a life "wasted" in service to the King. None of us will ever get to Heaven, wishing we had done less for Him. He gave Himself completely to us, and asks that we do the same for Him.

Hebrews 9:27-28,

"Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment, so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him."
